How I help
At different stages of your early career, I can help you to:
find your direction,
explore your options,
get hired and
get established.
My aim is to help you make thoughtful, informed choices about the direction you want your career to take, while recognising that your career will continue to develop as you gain experience, discover new strengths and interests, and encounter new opportunities. You may need support across all four areas, or you may come to me with one very immediate goal.
Whatever your starting point, we will begin by agreeing a SMART objective — something Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound that you want to achieve.
Then we will identify the actions that will help you achieve it.

I will help you reveal and understand your interests, strengths, values and ambitions; explore different career paths and develop a clearer sense of the direction that feels right for you.
My objective is to help you make a thoughtful, informed choice about the direction you want to take, knowing that your career will continue to develop as you gain experience, discover new strengths and interests, and encounter new opportunities.
There are many different ways to kickstart your career.
My job is to help you make an informed decision about what feels right for you.
We will explore the options opening up to you - whether that means looking for a job, postgraduate study, an apprenticeship, professional qualifications, developing specific skills or setting-up your own business.
We will consider what each option offers you, the opportunities and possibilities it may present and how well it fits with the direction you want your career to take.
Having decided on the direction you would like your career to take, I will guide you through creating your own Career Toolbox, which can form the foundation of your career strategy for the rest of your working life.
Your Career Toolbox will include a strong Master CV and LinkedIn profile, together with a bank of evidence that demonstrates your skills, experience and achievements. You will learn how to capture examples of your strengths and skills by collecting STARRs, metrics and other evidence. This work helps you recognise what you have to offer, build your confidence and prepare for interviews.
From there, you will learn how to create and implement a focused job-search strategy; tailor applications to particular opportunities; network effectively; and prepare thoroughly for interviews.
Rather than simply doing these things for you, I will help you learn how to do them well yourself, so you become increasingly confident and capable of managing your own career.
When appropriate, I will roll up my sleeves and work on something with you, for example, drafting a version of your CV for you to consider, develop and make your own.
Through our work together, you will grow in confidence.
We will explore how to communicate appropriately with your manager and colleagues; participate effectively in meetings; track and record your work so your value and contribution is always clear and how to focus on delivering (or over-delivering!) at work.
When you start a job you will be better equipped to navigate relationships and manage expectations; deal with setbacks; develop your skills and reputation; tackle new challenges and opportunities so you continue to learn and grow; and you will also be better equipped to prepare for progression and promotion.

This WhatsApp support is intended for short exchanges. Anything requiring more substantial discussion can be moved to one of your Career Check-ins or Career Consultancy Sessions.

Option 2
Pay as you go
If you prefer greater flexibility, you can book Career Consultancy Sessions, Career Check-ins and Career Assets Review & Search Support individually as you need them.
This can also work well after a Career Intensive if you would like ongoing support at particular decision points or when new opportunities arise.
There is no package or long-term commitment. You simply book and pay for the support you need.
Over many years of helping young adults get their careers started, I have learned that progress comes from doing the work - paying attention to what you are learning about yourself, researching, practicing, preparing, applying, following up and sometimes pushing yourself beyond what feels comfortable.
I work best with people who are ready to commit in this way - to take responsibility for their careers and do the work involved in designing and building a career that feels right for them.
With your permission, I will challenge you, encourage you and hold you accountable for the actions you commit to taking. I understand completely that sometimes life gets in the way. What matters is that you take an active role in your career and feel comfortable letting me know when we need to slow down, rethink something or pivot.
If you are ready to commit to your career, I am ready to commit to helping you move it forward.
If you are considering working with me, the first step is a free 20-minute exploratory call. We will talk about where you are now, what you would like to achieve and how I might help. We can also consider whether a Career Intensive or pay-as-you-go support would suit you best.
There is no obligation to book anything afterwards.
